Five Senses is a blessing
Here is my first blog for Tickle the Senses. I am the type of woman who finds enjoyment in the little things. Let's just take our sense of smell as an example to begin. I am obsessed with fragrances. I have collected over 300 perfumes and in addition to that a number of samples because I enjoy to test out all types of fragrances and have joined two websites in order to review them. I find that I can try on a perfume that will bring me back to a memory from my childhood. There is a scent from Highland called Lilac of Worchister that brings me back to being a child where I found peace sitting under a lilac tree in my yard, day dreaming about the day I would get married and have children of my own. My mother has a perfume that when she smells it she remembers her mother who is passed now and it is a very comforting scent to her. So that is my obsession with collecting perfumes. On another note our sense of taste... I am currently on a diet because as much as I obsess about a beautiful smell, I very much enjoy the taste of certain foods. I'm always open to trying something I have never tried before.. the sense of taste brings me joy. My decision to start this blog was to review something every day, or at least try to every day because there is always something I want to review that has brought me happiness and I want to share that experience. And of course, since I have collected so many perfumes I am always open to questions from the ladies that are curious about a certain fragrance. If I have it I will certainly review it, and if I don't I would very much like to go out there and get a sample so that I can review it.

ReplyDeleteI have never actually taken notice to the alchohol content in a perfume, but I will say I have noticed the stronger the perfume doesn't always mean there is great longevity of the scent. Sometimes my perfumes will come on strong but burn off faster then others that stay true to the scent all day but are never cloying. I have to take notice from now on when purchasing fragrances the alchohol content. Thank you for the tip.
